The Wilderness School provides intensive experimental programs to Connecticut youth ages 13 to 17 and to other children and youth with special needs. 

Yellowstone Co-Op Employee Recreation Program is offering lots of positions that fall under supervising and coordinating and work 35 - 40 hours a week, while also doing multiple trips hiking, white water rafting and rodeo.

The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is offering a 19 consecutive week internship (with a stipend)  in therapeutic recreation services that uses the therapeutic recreation process as defined by the current NCTRC Job Analysis. The student is under the direct supervision of an internship supervisor who is CTRS certified. The hospital has a committee of members who have the best interest of the student at heart.
