Athletics jobs at New Lennox Park District

I am the Recreation Supervisor that oversees the athletics at the New Lenox Community Park District.  I wanted to pass along a position that we are looking for and thought of the students in the recreation program at Moraine Valley Community College.  

 

We are looking for an athletic leader to help with a few different areas: 

 

-Flag Football League - I am looking for an individual to be the lead onsite for our flag football league on Saturdays from 8:15-3:15pm.  This person would be responsible for managing the staff on site (scorekeepers and referees), interact with families to problem solve any issues that may arise, help cover areas if staff need a bathroom break, basically keep the day running on site.  The league runs now through October 18th. 

 

-Athletic Leader - In addition to our athletic programs, we offer nightly drop-in programs at two of the local high schools from 6-9pm.  I am looking for a leader to work in the evenings on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 5:30-9:00pm to setup courts for the appropriate activity, interact with the public during open gym nights, take payment and enforce policies and procedures, and oversee 1 assistant on site. 

 

-Referees - we are also looking for referees for both the flag football league and our Children's Basketball League which begins in December.  Games for flag football are on Saturdays and basketball will be on Sundays.  Some background on flag football or football is preferred. Applicant does not have to be patched/certified, but it does help.
