The Streamwood Park District is currently looking for a person to fufill a 12-week (May 20th-August 9th, Monday through Friday) summer internship. The intern will be responsible for helping with recreation programming, athletics, recreation services, special events, summer camp coordination, and facility rentals. Also they will be engaging with the Marketing, Parks, Human Resources, and Administration departments.  There will be occasional evening and weekend responsibilities. 

 The Channahon Park District is currently searching for a new Program Supervisor to oversee theirathletic programs and leagues, after school program, adult programs, and special events.

The Program Supervisor is responsible for performing the essential functions as outlined and is a full-time employee.

Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities through a partnership with 17 Park Districts located within the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  NWSRA provides outstanding recreation opportunities for people with disabilities within our partner Park Districts through weekly programs, adult day programs (PURSUIT), special events, day camps and inclusion in Park District programs.

The Recreation Therapy Service Line’s mission is to provide comprehensive rehabilitative care to veterans in need of rehabilitation to attain their full physical, psychosocial, educational, and vocational potential and return to community living. Rehabilitation is provided by an interdisciplinary team that applies state-of-the-art clinical skills, equipment and techniques. Recreation Therapy Service will utilize hospital, community, state, and federal resources effectively and optimize patient outcomes thus achieving high patient satisfaction.

59 bed rehabilitation facility. Affiliation agreement with the school is required. The school also needs to do a background check and provide insurance for the student.
